Assessing Scoliosis?

ScoliCheck is an app designed for health professionals and home users for conducting scoliosis evaluations. It provides a simple method for measuring scoliosis. Typically, scoliosis clinicians utilize a handheld scoliometer to obtain a baseline measurement of patients suspected of having scoliosis before recommending them for x-ray assessment. With ScoliCheck, you now have access to this tool anywhere, at a significantly lower cost compared to the standard handheld device.

By having the patient bend forward and placing the phone over the spine with the assessor's thumbs supporting it, ScoliCheck offers a measurement of trunk asymmetry in degrees. A higher measurement indicates a greater likelihood of potential scoliosis.

The app features a user-friendly interface, suitable for both health professionals and individuals using it at home. Upon obtaining the highest reading, users can press Submit to record the degrees and send them via email for further evaluation.
